High quality dishes have been offered in the Alter Simpl since 1973. We cook the Franconian way - with a lot of love, for which we are known far beyond Erlangen's borders.
Meat and sausages are grilled over an open beechwood fire. A changing lunch menu is served every week. Every Thursday and Saturday we offer Schäufele with Franconian dumplings and sauerkraut.
All dishes are freshly prepared every day. All ingredients such as meat, fish and vegetables are bought regionally.
Our sausages are made by hand in our kitchen according to our own recipe, we also make soups and sauces ourselves every day - free of artificial additives.
All of this makes our dishes in the Alter Simpl something very special.
